Stories Make the World

Engage audiences in vivid experiences of enjoyment, understanding, inspiration and belonging – of being vividly alive in the enjoyment of their individual and community lives. Create psychological, social and artistic safety. Empower audiences with trust, commitment and action.
Your story and the engagement experiences you give people with it can be compelling and make the world.
I'm a student of story and its capacity to vivify. I’m a writer and documentary filmmaker serving mission-driven organizations with content, and marketing, public relations and fundraising communications for web, print and video.
I’ve been honored to serve clients, including:
• Mayo Clinic
• Fairview Health System
• Best Buy
• Ameriprise Financial
• University of Minnesota
• Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
• Saint Paul Red Cross
• Minneapolis Area United Way
• National Endowment for the Arts
• Arts Midwest
• Kairos Alive!, and many others.
I contribute creative consulting, video writing/producing/directing, long- and short-form web and editorial content, features and news, annual reports, copy, case statements and funding proposals.
I'm thrilled to help originate and prototype the startling new Karios Alive! Arts and Health/Creative Aging live interactive participatory dance, music and theater webcast, Dancing Heart™ Live!
My national award-winning independent television journalism has been broadcast on Twin Cities Public Television, KCTS/9 Seattle and national PBS. I’ve contributed essays to Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine, Minnesota Parent and The Phoenix; and poetry to literary magazines, community newspapers and anthologies.
In addition to my communications work, I:
• Serve as an Associate Teaching Artist for the national award-winning Arts and Health social impact pioneer kairosalive.org.
• Have a background in theater and am a performing folk musician.
Thank you for your interest. I look forward to talking with you.
Our times call for empathy, fact-based knowledge, enthusiasm, cooperation and a weaving together of community, as together we make change toward the common good. A healing intention, and personal and community cohesion are paramount. It’s time to tell our stories. What we say and how we say it matters.
Good story! I want to be part of it!
